Hi
This drawing is from Georgious Agricola who wrote De Re Metallica a study of mining. This drawing looks very similar to the igloo shaped building in the photograph on my earlier blog. The drawing is of a building used to smelt tin

In 1201 King John made a charter to allow the water from the river Cober to be diverted into man made watercourses for the purpose of use by the tin industry. In 1284 the monks of Rewley Abbey of the Cistercian order were awarded the Tithe of Wendron it may be this was payment for building watercourses in Wendron. The list of reverands and mention of the monks is in Wendron church.
